Solar Power Plant Project Overview
On Dec. 27, 2021, LS ELECTRIC signed an exclusive sales and supplier agreement with the Bigeum Solar Power System Corporation for the subcontracted construction of the Shinan Bigeum Island Solar Power Plant. The agreement period spans 2.5 years from Dec. 24, 2021 until May 31, 2024. Under this project, our company is in charge of the production and supply of transmission lines as well as the design, installation, testing, commissioning, detailed safety diagnosis, and pre-use inspection of the transmission lines for use in the 200MW-capacity terrestrial solar power plant.
With an eye towards implementing the government’s ‘Renewable Energy 2030 Plan’, the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Company exerts concerted efforts for the construction of renewable energy plants that will provide a total capacity of 3GW(300MW-capacity offshore solar power plant in Saemangum, 220MW-capacity Anmado wind power plant in the Jeonnam region, 1.5GW-capacity Shinan wind power plant and 1GW-capacity Jindo offshore wind power plant). It has also committed to invest KRW 20 trillion by 2030 towards acquiring additional capacity of 7.6GW that will consist of solar and wind power-generating facilities.
Upon achieving our tasks in the agreement, LS ELECTRIC is expected to participate in other renewable energy projects in our pipeline until 2030, and work on ramping up our business lines.
